Why Your Mind and Heart Don't Always Agree (And Why That's Normal)
Mind and heart speak two different languages. The mind's function is to explain, whereas the heart is to respond. Emotional awareness is not emotional overthinking, and it begins with one center, from where you are listening to both.

Why Your Mind and Heart Don't Always Agree (And Why That's Normal)
The mind can understand the idea of a feeling... but it cannot feel it.
The heart can feel... but it cannot explain why.
We often speak as though the mind and the heart are having the same conversation.
They are not.
The heart responds.
The mind explains.
One experiences.
The other interprets.
Neither is wrong.
They simply speak different languages.
The heart communicates through approval and disapproval.
It does not compose arguments.
It does not justify itself.
It simply responds.
Sometimes that response is nothing more than:
Yes.
No.
Closer.
Farther.
Peace.
Discomfort.
The thinking mind immediately begins asking why.
It searches for causes, explanations, and conclusions.
It gathers evidence.
Builds stories.
Connects details.
Look for consistency.
Sometimes this is useful.
Sometimes it turns a simple feeling into unnecessary complexity.
Sometimes a yes is just YES
And a no is simply NO.
Not every feeling arrives with an explanation.
Some arrive only as direction.
The reasoning is the making of the mind.
Response is the function of the heart.
The mind asks:
"What does this mean?"
The heart asks:
"How does this feel?"
Neither question is complete without the other.
At the center of this communication, another voice quietly asks:
"What is actually happening?"
What is often lost between the mind and the heart is not the message—it is the translation.
The mind interprets.
The heart responds.
Awareness observes both.
This simple observation forms one of the foundations of the I Am One Tarot.
Thoughts, feelings, actions, and physical experience are not separate identities.
There are four reports describing the same center.
Confusion arises not because one is right and another is wrong, but because each communicates in its own language.
Learning to recognize those languages is the beginning of self-awareness.
